A little about me

I teach music and movement across early years groups and help plan activities that involve the whole body as well as listening. Rhythm can give children a shared structure to follow, while movement offers another way to take part. I look for simple plans that make the sequence clear and leave room to adjust the activity for the group.

Practical organisation matters when sessions and events involve several classes. A rota or short plan can help adults know what comes next, where they need to be and which materials are required. I want these tools to support coordination without turning a creative session into a rigid script.

I value resources that connect music, rhythm and movement with an understandable purpose. A pattern can invite children to listen, repeat or make a change, and a teacher can use their response to decide what to try next. The plan should stay focused on participation and the activity, while individual developmental records remain with the class teacher.

How I approach a lesson

  1. Use rhythm and movement to create shared ways to participate.

  2. Make rotations and event sequences clear for adults.

  3. Keep activity planning separate from individual developmental records.
