Support is most useful when it fits the classroom and the teacher’s plan. I want strategies to be simple enough to repeat and specific enough to show what the pupil is practising. A small change can take time to notice, so it helps to record what was tried and what the pupil did next.
I look for resources that make routines visible without turning them into rigid scripts. A prompt can help an adult keep language consistent, while the pupil’s response guides what to do next. I value handovers that let different teachers continue the approach and keep the support grounded in the pupil’s real learning context.
