My fitness log: record and review progress
Record activity and perceived effort, plot one measure and reflect on a safe personal goal.

Head of Physical Education
I want Physical Education to give every year group meaningful movement and a sense that improvement belongs to them, whether or not they already identify as sporty.
Explore the collectionI lead Physical Education across the school and put participation before performance. Competitive models can drive some pupils away from a subject they need a chance to enjoy, so I plan with the child at the back of the line in mind rather than assuming everyone is eager to compete.
A lesson can still have clear goals and challenge while offering more than one way to join in. I look for activities that let pupils practise, cooperate and notice what they can do, without making the strongest performer the measure of success for everyone else.
I value resources that help teachers explain the task and keep participation visible. A reflection question or simple progression can help pupils decide what to try next.
