A tracking routine will only help if tutors can keep it current during a busy registration. I look for a simple record that takes seconds to update and still tells us who has joined in. The aim is to make the challenge easier to run across tutor groups, not to create another complicated reporting task.
In English, I want pupils to meet reading as something they can enter from different starting points. A house-wide activity gives us one way to invite participation beyond the students who already identify as readers. I pay attention to whether the format makes that invitation easy to act on.
