A little about me
I support secondary pupils who need adjustments to show what they know. A useful arrangement should already be part of ordinary classroom practice before an examination period begins. If it appears for the first time in the hall, it may feel unfamiliar and it will not reflect how the pupil has been learning.
I also want pupils to see support as a practical tool rather than a statement about their ability. That means discussing what helps, making expectations clear and checking that teachers can apply the agreed approach consistently. The aim is to remove a barrier so the pupil can engage with the task, not to make assumptions about what they can achieve.
I look for resources that help staff plan, communicate and review support in concrete terms. A checklist or short plan can clarify what should happen, but it needs to be connected to the pupil’s everyday work and reviewed with the right people. I value guidance that makes the next action clear while protecting private diagnostic information.
